This role is pivotal in ensuring minimal disruption to the laundry’s function and keeping operations running.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nPerform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of laundry machinery including washers, Dryers, Boiler systems, Pumps, Valves, Dosing systems.\nDiagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on mechanical and electrical systems with minimal disruption to production.\nIs responsible for carrying out and planning (in co-operation with his/her supervisor) of corrective maintenance, failure monitoring and reporting of any disturbances in machines or processes.\nIs responsible for maintaining proper condition of the buildings, machines, equipment and outdoor areas of the laundry.\nIs responsible for the order and cleanliness of the premises and areas dedicated to maintenance work\nIs responsible for storage of spare parts and maintenance tools as well as for the order and cleanliness of their storage.\nIs responsible for authorisation of hot work permits.\nIs responsible for compiling, training and monitoring of operational inspection instructions of machines.\n\nSkills and Qualifications:\n\nHave a formal mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent standard of professional qualification.\nEngineer fitter education/experience (desirable/advantage).\nAutomation fitter education/experience (desirable/advantage).\nOver 3 years work experience in an equivalent position.\nProficient in basic IT programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and Internet).\nHot work card or equivalent\nFull UK Driving Licence\nFlexible work ethic as there may be requirements to provide cover at other site\nAttentive and active in monitoring production activities.\nSystematic, persistent and methodical.\n\nBJ141 - Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer\nLocation: Manchester (With occasional travel to sites in Bedford and Bradford)\nSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 Per Annum (+ Car allowance)\nWorking Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours Per Week
