Overview

Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer for an Innovative food business. Reporting directly to the engineering supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective maintenance of all production and site services equipment. The role of a Multi-skilled engineer demands a sharp focus on fault finding and problem-solving across a diverse range of equipment and situations.


Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Multi-Skilled Engineer

·Delivering electrical and mechanical planned and reactive maintenance

·Repairing machines and electrical components, provide support when it comes to usage of machines and electrical components.

·Leading any installation of electrical components and infrastructure, ensuring that sign offs, Risk Assessments and Method Statements are in place.

·Installing, maintaining and carrying out improvements to equipment in the factory whilst working closely with other departments

·Ensuring Maintenance Connection is up to date including proposed corrective actions and that all actions are recorded in an appropriate and timely manner.

·Complete and submit PPM and Reactive task paperwork accurately and timeously.

·Maintaining site machinery and production equipment

·Fault finding and continuous improvement projects.

·Resolving plant issues and breakdowns to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.

·To be aware of, understand and adhere to environmental procedures, food safety and quality procedures.


Requirements for the Multi-Skilled Engineer


Essential

·Time served Engineer with proven experience working as Multiskilled Engineer in the food or FMCG industry.

·Multiskilled Technical and Mechanical aptitude

·Industry recognised electrical qualification – HNC or equivalent.

·Certified to NICIEC 17th Edition.

·Can carry out certified Testing and Inspection to comply with H&S regulation with regards to Electrical connections

·Be able to fault find in both electrical and mechanical.

·Diagnose faults using complex circuit drawings.

·Air and pneumatics trained.

·Experience in fault finding and programming invertors and various PLC’s.

·Can demonstrate experience in various site systems, CCTV, Access controls, SCADA, machine specific control systems.

·An awareness of HACCP, PUWER, LOLA and COSHH


Desirable

·Experience in working in the food industry – especially Poultry slaughter/processing.

·Experience in leading engineering teams.

·Approved Health & Safety training certificate/qualification
