£30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience
We are currently looking for a number of Maintenance Engineers for a global chemicals manufacturer based in Northwich, Cheshire. The company have got a great reputation within the chemicals market and are looking to expand their business. This role is a permanent days only opportunity with a salary ranging from £30,000 - £40,000.
The role
The maintenance engineer will be responsible for support the Engineering team helping develop the site maintenance and asset management system, and keeping it up to date with scheduled tasks and reports. Other responsibilities include:
- Reactive maintenance on production as and when failures occur;
- Connection and disconnection of tankers to site;
- Proactive scheduled maintenance to minimise the reactive maintenance;
- Become an integral part of the operations team;
- Reporting regularly on progress to your manager.
- undertaking maintenance projects from initiation to completion, overseen by your supervisor.
- Escalate problems quickly to the Engineering Manager and help to identify and instigate solutions.
The Person
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will need:
- NVQ or similar or have a proven track record with relevant City & Guilds certification
- Computer literacy;
- Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
- Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability
- Great attention to detail
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to work well with others
- Understanding of risk assessments/ method statements
