Job Purpose

As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, you’ll specialize in electrical maintenance and repair of heavy machinery, including corrugators, binders, and related equipment, in a high-energy production environment. Your expertise in troubleshooting, reading schematics, and working with high-voltage systems (480V+) will drive plant efficiency and safety. This role offers competitive pay, a 3rd shift schedule (10:00 PM–6:00 AM, Monday–Friday, with possible weekends), and opportunities to advance in a supportive, team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment, including corrugators, binders, AC/DC motors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and ladder logic to diagnose issues and execute installations.

  • Conduct preventative, corrective, and unplanned maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure production efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with Electric Code (NEC) and strict safety guidelines, actively participating in the plant’s safety program.

  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and manage work orders.

  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize tasks and maintain seamless operations.

  • Maintain and repair power distribution infrastructure, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and operator interfaces as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, or military settings.

  • Strong knowledge of Electric Code (NEC) and experience with medium/high voltage systems (480V+).

  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, including single-line diagrams and ladder logic.

  • Experience with AC/DC motors, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Familiarity with CMMS or similar maintenance tracking software.

  • : Experience in a corrugated box plant, paper industry, or similar manufacturing environment.

  • : Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and power distribution systems.

  • : Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:00 AM, Monday–Friday) with possible weekend overtime.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.

  • Perform tasks including standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in industrial environments.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, pressure gauges).

  • Work 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:00 AM, Monday–Friday) with occasional weekend or overtime hours when require
