PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for the entire electrical life cycle of projects, from initial design and conception to production troubleshooting and ongoing support. Installs and maintains the electrical system of the plant, provide power for machines, equipment, lighting facilities and other such electrical apparatus and gear as may be utilized in accordance with codes, regulations, and safety specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
2. Execute maintenance work schedule provided by supervisor.
3. Overhaul and install new equipment.
4. Work is centered around the design, build and maintenance of electrical controls for customer automation equipment
5. Demonstrates the ability to build, install and wire electronic control panel.
6. Operates newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs
7. Rebuild and fabricate parts.
8. Demonstrates the ability to diagnose, isolate, and correct troubles involving the repair and replacement of complex electronic devices.
9. Demonstrates the ability to use appropriate test instruments, gear, and equipment to test and insure compatibility and safety of all circuits, components, switches, controls, etc., to assure performance qualify and operation
10. Perform equipment change-overs and production line set ups.
11. Record repairs, maintenance, parts, and materials used
12. Ensure the safety needs are given a top priority in operations support and work execution. Some examples are Arc Flash/Shock Hazard safety, confined space entry, Lockout/tagout (LOTO), hazardous materials, hand tool safe use, etc.
13. Maintain clean and safe work area.
14. Train other team members on technical duties.
15. Other projects or duties as assigned
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High school or equivalent.
2. A minimum of a 2 year degree in electronics or equivalent
3. A minimum of 2 years hands on Electronics/Controls background with PLC Experience
4. Master or Journeyman Electrician
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach. Bending, twisting, climbing, reaching, etc.
2. Able to lift machine components up to 50 lbs.
3. Required to stand for long periods of time.
4. Good hand-eye coordination.
5. Reaching above shoulder heights and/or below the waist.
6. Make repetitive or semi-repetitive machine or equipment adjustments requiring some feel or dexterity.
7. Perform non-repetitive assembly, construction, and maintenance type activities.
8. Continuous mental and/or visual attention to operate machine(s).

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
1. The use of safety glasses & hearing protection is required while in any manufacturing area.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Extreme condition of dirt and grease.
- Considerable and continuous noises.
- Exposure to hazards where failure to exercise extreme care could result in severe injury.
- Working in a safe manufacturing environment
- Must wear appropriate safety equipment when deemed necessary
- May be working in noisy, dusty, greasy, or wet environments.
- Some disagreeable elements present, such as hot and humid, fumes, etc.
- Exposure to various odors, dust, cuts, or burns due to corrosive and/or heated tanks of chemicals, noise, etc.
