We are seeking a dedicated Building Safety Coordinator to support our Building Safety Manager in maintaining high safety standards across our properties.\n\nJob Purpose:\nAs a Building Safety Coordinator, your primary role will be to coordinate the resolution of inspection outcomes and administer compliance systems. You will be responsible for managing maintenance and service contracts while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and addressing any identified risks.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nReview and triage inspection outcomes based on risk, assigning recommendations to internal stakeholders and external contractors.\nPlan, commission, and monitor all activities, ensuring control measures and repairs are completed successfully.\nUpdate compliance systems with property risk classifications and relevant inspection data.\nAccess and review building management information, including fire risk assessments and incident trackers.\nCommunicate with building safety inspectors to clarify risks and issues, facilitating access to properties as needed.\nManage day-to-day contract services, ensuring timely completion and adherence to performance frameworks.\nAdminister transactions within the job management system, maintaining accurate compliance records and responding to supply chain inquiries.\nMonitor compliance works by third-party contractors, escalating any underperformance as necessary.\nSupport the tenancy enforcement process, liaising with legal teams and property managers to maintain safety in communal areas.\nManage compliance certificate activities, ensuring accurate records and communication with stakeholders.\nProvide clear, supportive advice to inquiries, escalating complex issues when needed.\nProcess payments for contracted works, adhering to financial control measures.\nBuild constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering effective communication.\nCoordinate post-inspection activities to ensure adherence to specifications and safety regulations.\nFacilitate access to shared spaces for various stakeholders, including contractors and consultants.\nEnsure compliance with internal business processes and contribute to continuous improvements.\nRespond flexibly to changes in work priorities and support the overall service operation.\nUphold data protection and health and safety requirements in all tasks.Person Specification:\n\nEssential Skills and Experience:\n\nExperience in a building safety, asset management, or health and safety role, particularly in supporting building safety inspections.\nProficient in raising orders and tracking completion.\nStrong contract management skills, particularly in service and maintenance contracts.\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and persuade at all organisational levels.\nResults-driven with strong analytical skills and experience in providing meaningful management information.\nA collaborative team player, flexible to meet business requirements.\nProficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Compliance Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems.Desirable Skills and Experience:\n\nKnowledge of Housing Management Systems, specifically Open Housing or similar platforms.\nPrevious experience in a similar role within asset compliance or health and safety.What We Offer:\n\nA supportive work environment that values your contributions.\nOpportunity to make a significant impact on building safety and compliance.\nCompetitive remuneration for your expertise and efforts.Office Angels is an employment agency.
