**Essential Duties and Responsibilities: **

  • Perform various activities on equipment and machines including reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work;
  • Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems;
  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs;
  • Lubricate or apply other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures;
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications;
  • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance;
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment working on production equipment.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of or older; criminal background checks and drug screening required.

Physical Requirements/ Environmental/ Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a lift truck license within 60 days of hire/promotion.
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to safely work in a moderately conditioned, industrial process manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to frequently climb 10-40 steps and occasionally climb 5-10 ladder rungs.
  • Able to work in differing temperatures
  • Non-traditional work schedules will be based on location needs or specific situations.
  • Non-traditional work schedules will almost always be planned and coordinated in advance.

  • Machine Building/Assembling
  • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
  • 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems
  • Plastic Extrusion Experience
  • Thermoforming Experience

  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
  • Extrusion Machine
  • Thermoforming Machine
  • Conveyor Systems
  • Servo Motors
