• Maintenance Assistant required to work at retirement village in High Wycombe.

\n

• To carry out user tests, cyclical, preventive and repairs maintenance, and arrange access for contractors to carry out maintenance.

\n

• Carry out a handy-person service for the , as directed by the Cluster manager. Anything from picture hanging to assembling flat pack furniture.

\n

• Undertake preventive maintenance duties in the ’s apartments and in the communal areas

\n

• Be proactive in the management of void properties, ensure water quality checks and general repairs are undertaken.

\n

• Work with contractors on site to improve own knowledge of systems and to ensure that they are working to risk assessments provided.

\n

• Record repair requests and defects.

\n

• Qualifications that will help candidates are City & Guilds, BTECs, and NVQs. Courses in health and safety, plumbing, plastering, carpentry, and general maintenance are all very useful.

\n

• Numeracy, literacy and computer skills are essential.
