Maintenance Assistant

The Maintenance Assistant will support the Maintenance Manager in performing a variety of maintenance tasks, repairs, and improvements across our properties. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and property managers.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of common areas, including landscaping and snow removal.
  • Help with the setup and teardown of events and activities on the properties.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field is .
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems or interest in learning all.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.


Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to respond to emergency maintenance requests.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
