Job Title:

Maintenance Apprentice

Reports to:

Production Manager

General Description:

Perform preventative maintenance for building facility with direction from the maintenance mechanic.

Responsibilities: (100%)

• Perform and record preventive maintenance as scheduled
• Maintain building equipment (e.g., air conditioner, boilers, ventilating fan, forklift truck)
• Helps as required to maintain or repair machinery and perform carpentry
• Participate in Safety Committee
• Other duties as required

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent, electrical, plumbing, mechanical knowledge
• Hands On Mechanical Aptitude or Experience (IE: shop class or DIY automotive repair, etc.)
• Interest In Electrical Systems & Electrical Repair
• Big Plus if you have any electrical experience.

Other Skills:

• Welding
• Forklift operation

Training Process

• 5 Years of On-the-Job Training to Be proficient in Maintenance Basics.
• Based on employee performance and aptitude Employer will provide further educational opportunities through Community College or Technical College Programs.
