Maintenance and HVAC Technician - Pittsburgh and Vicinity
Position Overview
The Maintenance and HVAC Technician is a key part of the company's success. This individual will work at multiple job sites, primarily within 10 miles of downtown Pittsburgh, and is expected to provide exceptional customer service. The individual should have strong technical and communication skills and be able to complete small projects alone or with a team.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven proficiency in diagnosing and making repairs to residential-size heat pumps, air conditioners, gas furnaces, and packaged HVAC units
- Previous apartment building maintenance experience
- Tech savvy and able to communicate via email and utilize online work order system
- Ability to follow directions and to see tasks through to completion
- Average written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug test
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA 608 Universal License required
Primary Responsibilities:
- General apartment and building maintenance including but not limited to unit HVAC repairs, appliance installation and repairs, electrical and lighting repairs, plumbing repairs, preventative maintenance, snow removal, and other general maintenance tasks that may be requested.
- Small projects such as door and hardware replacements and kitchen and bath renovations.
- Professional interaction with , prospective , co-workers, and vendors.
- Regular work schedule is Monday through Friday.
- Occasional overtime, weekend, holiday, evening, and on-call emergency work.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 80 pounds, climb and work on ladders, work with arms raised over head, stand/walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, read small print, bend at waist and knees to lift boxes, appliances, furniture, shovel snow, etc.
Transportation
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Position requires frequent in-town travel and occasional out-of-town travel. Pickup truck or van .
