Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Machine Process Engineer role in Biddeford, ME. Our client is a well-established industry leader in advanced manufacturing, known for innovation, precision, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, they take pride in optimizing manufacturing processes and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, optimize, and maintain machine processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
· Analyze current production processes to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
· Program, troubleshoot, and support CNC and automated manufacturing equipment.
· Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve process-related issues.
· Establish and document standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process parameters.
· Support new product introductions by developing machining strategies and validating process capability.
· Monitor process performance using data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) tools.
· Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations or quality concerns.
· Ensure machine processes comply with safety standards, quality requirements, and company policies.
· Provide technical support and training to operators and technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
· Prior experience as a process engineer in a machining or manufacturing environment is .
· Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and materials.
· Experience with CNC programming, automation, or robotics is a plus.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and manage multiple priorities.
