Employment Type: Full-time, Direct HirePosition OverviewWe are seeking a Machining Manufacturing Engineer to support CNC, Lathe, Robodrill, and Milling operations. This role will focus on process design, equipment sourcing, cell layout, and continuous improvement to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and skilled at balancing technical expertise with practical solutions on the production floor.Key Responsibilities
- Lead assigned launch activities in collaboration with Program Management.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing cell layouts, ensuring safety, ergonomics, and efficiency.
- Prepare capital and tooling requirements for new business quotations.
- Conduct feasibility studies, highlight risks, and collaborate with customers on resolutions.
- Source, install, and commission new capital equipment and tooling.
- Establish and maintain processes that achieve scrap reduction and efficiency targets.
- Create and manage budgets for capital and tooling, ensuring launches stay within approved limits.
- Support Run at Rate activities and customer APQP meetings.
- Develop and maintain thorough documentation, including PFMEAs, work instructions, and control plans.
- Drive continuous improvement through scrap reduction, capacity enhancements, and VA/VE initiatives.
- Collaborate with Quality to resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support changeover processes and identify opportunities to reduce downtime.
- Maintain plant and line layouts, incorporating 5S and Lean principles.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with CNC machining processes (Milling, Lathe operations, programming).
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and 5S practices.
- Familiarity with takt time and capacity planning.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate across operations, quality, and customer teams.

- Experience in hot and cold forging processes.
- Background in automation (Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Siemens).
- Flow forming experience.
- ERP experience (e.g., Plex).
