Contract position - Day Shift
Start Time: 6:00am
Pay Rate: up to $25.75 per hour (based on proven work history)
Description of the Machine Tool Electrician:
Able to competently work on their own with minimal direction / High to Mid Skill / Medium Complexity projects / solid knowledge base / Quality of work mostly meets expectations / proficient Assist Electrical Supervisor with disassembling and shipping of equipment. Assist Electrical Supervisor with necessary requirements to install equipment in customer facilities. Assist Electrical Supervisor with concerns/ issues. Follows company policies, procedures, and rules. Meets scheduled deadlines and maintains open issues. Must be proficient with use of electrical meters to assist with debugging tooling. Read and interpret electrical diagrams. Updates E-BOM summary weekly and gives it to Electrical Supervisor. Order non-BOM material required to build job. Understands how to read / use project timelines. Able to troubleshoot / debug hardwire circuits. Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns. Understands layouts and controls drawing, will be expected to travel to customer for Install. Layout associated electrical equipment around perimeter of systems. (Panels, Weld Controllers, Panel views, etc.) Familiarize themselves with customer specifications and ensure all specs are followed. Be willing to do everything asked of him from start to finish. Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job. Assures a clean work area. Has own tools and PPE. Material Follow-up, if necessary. Attends team meetings.
Experience of the Machine Tool Electrician:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and the risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Education of the Machine Tool Electrician:
One-year certificate from college or technical school; 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
