Job DescriptionCNC SET-UP OPERATOR - WEST CHICAGO (MOVING TO NORTHBROOK START OF 2026)
\nRequired: 3+ years of hands-on CNC setup and operation experience, able to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T, high school diploma+
\nSchedule: 1st shift (6AM – 2:30PM), 2nd shift (2PM – 10:30PM), 3rd shift (10PM – 6:30AM)
\nOvertime is highly encouraged
\nPay Rate: $25 - $30, DOE

\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n

\n\t
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings (including GD&T), and work orders with a critical eye for detail.\n\t
• Select and load tooling, materials, and complex fixtures; responsibility starts with your setup.\n\t
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections; use calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges—precision counts.\n\t
• Adjust tool offsets, edit programs as needed, and troubleshoot issues to keep production moving and minimize downtime. \n\t
• Prepare and set up CNC mills and/or lathes for each run—no shortcuts, everything done to spec.\n\t
• Keep your workspace and machines spotless; expect to mop and organize at the end of every shift.\n\t
• Handle chips, scrap, and tiny components like a pro—mistakes are costly.\n\t
• Document everything neatly and accurately, no scribbling, missing info, or sloppiness.\n\t
• Follow every safety and manufacturing protocol, every time, no exceptions.\n\t
• Collaborate with engineers, team members, and leadership—continuous improvement is part of the job.\n

\nQualifications:\n\n

\n\t
• 3+ years of hands on CNC setup and operation experience; mill experience highly .\n\t
• High school diploma or equivalent.\n\t
• Able to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
  \n\tSkilled with calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.\n\t
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas controls, or CAM software a plus.\n\t
• Mechanical aptitude and solid troubleshooting skills.\n\t
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.\n\t
• Strong communication skills, team focus, and personal accountability.\n\t
• Willing and able to travel/relocate to our new Northbrook facility early 2026.\n
