Title:  Machine Operator

Location: Torrance CA USA 90504

Duration:  12 + months (with possible of extension)

Pay Rate: $30.55/hr.
Shift – 3rd shift 

Job Summary

·       Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery.

·       Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.

·       May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

·       Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

·       Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

·       Works under immediate supervision.

·       Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

·       Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

·       Special Considerations: Lifting will exceed 30 Lbs. and/or repetitions of this or lesser weights will be significant. Exposure to substantial machine, chemical, biological or other physical risks are anticipated.

·       Candidate must have experience with CNC Mills including setting up and running production as well as first article inspection

·       Material working with: Mainly aluminium some stainless steel and a handful of titanium jobs

·       Tolerances: .0002” on bore and similar tolerances for runout as these are rotating assembly details that spin at greater than 70,000 RPM.

·       CNC Equipment: Ikegai lathes, TU15 model.
