Job Title: Operational Technician 

Location: Olathe, KS

Pay: $21.50/HR – Paid Weekly

Join a reputable Lenexa-based warehouse operation that values hard work, safety, and long-term growth! We’re hiring Operation Technicians for the 2nd shift to join a dynamic cable room team. This is a full-time, evaluation-to-hire opportunity with room for advancement and a supportive work environment.

Job Summary:

The Operation Technician will play a critical role in the warehouse’s cable processing operations. This includes handling, cutting, and processing steel cables, maintaining inventory, managing materials, and ensuring the operation of machinery and logistics is smooth and safe. Stand-up and sit-down forklift experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to handle materials and cable reels.
• Safely cut and process steel cables and manage inventory accurately.
• Oversee all cable room activities including inventory, scrap, MRBs, housekeeping, and supplies.
• Coordinate daily cut schedules and prioritize runs.
• Maintain and operate cable cutting machines.
• Evaluate and document incoming and outgoing cable materials and returns.
• Label reels with appropriate identification (order number, customer number, etc.).
• Dispose of unusable reels and manage reel inventory by size.
• Communicate with truck shipping for scheduling pickups and deliveries.
• Conduct cable stock checks and manage claims with Corporate Accounting.
• Work closely with the receiving department to inspect incoming inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized cable room in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

Requirements:

• Prior experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts (required).
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to maintain machinery.
• Previous warehouse or cable processing experience is a plus.

Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available

• 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM Rotating Schedule – Overtime available
• 6pm- 4am Thurs- Sat
• 5pm-5am Rotating Schedule – Overtime available
