Become a Key Player as a Machine Operator
You will operate and maintain manual machining equipment to produce high-quality components, ensuring parts meet specifications and safety standards. This senior, independent role on 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11:30pm) lets you own production output and quality while collaborating with the shop team and quality inspectors onsite.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Perform repetitive machine operations: cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming, and smoothing parts
- Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures and established methods
- Visually inspect parts for burrs, damaged surfaces, and other irregularities; remove burrs and sharp edges
- Use gauges and measuring instruments to verify parts conform to specifications
- Accurately and regularly perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) tasks
- Read analog/digital MICS, comparators, and profilometer instruments
- Observe safety rules and maintain a clean, orderly work area
- Perform rework on parts and other related responsibilities as assigned
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 7–10 years of general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform the described responsibilities
- Manual machining experience and strong manual dexterity
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics
- Effective English verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player
