Superior Trades is seeking experienced Machine Operators for an immediate need!

Pay: $18/hr. - $23/hr. (DoE)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, with OT
Hours: 1st Shift (6:00AM - 2:00PM) or 2nd Shift (2:00PM - 10:00PM)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: McGregor, TX
Job Type: Contract/Contract to hire

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate and monitor robotic welding systems and automated fabrication equipment.
• Set up machines, tooling, and basic robotic programs based on work orders and drawings.
• Fabricate structural steel beams, including fit-up, alignment, and positioning of components.
• Load and secure steel materials for welding and fabrication processes.
• Inspect welds and finished components for quality and accuracy.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.
• Measure and verify parts using calipers and gauges.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment or fabrication issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to meet daily output goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating fabrication equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication and/or robotic welding strongly .
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.
• Experience with CNC machines, automated systems, or beam lines is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-focused.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Manufacturing facility with robotic welding cells and heavy steel fabrication equipment.
• Work performed around large structural steel beams and overhead cranes.
• Exposure to heat, noise, and industrial conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and steel materials.
