Large manufacturer needs a machine operator who is looking for a career rather than a job. Great opportunity to grow in a respectful, team oriented environment. Most employees retire from working here. Must be able to use a pallet jack and forklift. Ability to scan job tickets using RF Scan gun and have basic computer skills.
Job Summary:
· Follow all safety procedures/expectations for material handling and machine operation
· Adhere to requirements for safe handling of hazardous materials, with emphasis on flammable materials
· Select and verify the correct chemicals and packaging components for production orders according to the job tickets
· Properly document raw material lot numbers on paperwork and QC software system
· Add raw materials in exact quantities per the work instructions
· Follow process/work instructions exactly to ensure finished product quality
· Package finished ink batches into gallon and pail containers, apply labels, and palletize products
· Safely perform machine cleanouts using water and solvents to changeover between different products
· Cross-train and become competent to operate all mixers and mills
· Assist the Maintenance Department in diagnosing and troubleshooting machine issues
This is a 1st shift position with the hours of 5:45 am to 2:30 pm. Offers full health benefits including Vision and Dental. Included is Holiday pay, PTO and 401K retirement plan. If interested you must submit an updated resume for consideration.
