Position Summary
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join our team in Knightstown, IN. In this position, you will help ensure the efficient running of production by operating and maintaining machinery. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of industrial machines and tools, with strong attention to detail, be safety-conscious, and possess the ability to troubleshoot issues, follow work instructions, and maintain consistent quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery in accordance with safety and quality standards
- Perform basic adjustments, and changeovers as needed; set-up is not required.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Maintain consistent production output to meet daily goals
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report more complex problems to supervisors
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety guidelines
Key Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in operating production machinery set-ups, tool changes, etc.
- Previous experience operating Brake Press, CNC, Lathes, Mills, in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate/run multiple machines simultaneously
- Understanding of shop math & blueprint reading/comprehension. GDT
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Schedule & Compensation
- Employment Type: Full-time, temp-to-hire
- Schedule: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift
- Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
