Summary:

• A Gear Hinge Fabrication Associate is an integral part of our Geared Hinge Manufacturing cell. This team member should possess excellent communication and mechanical skills necessary for the most efficient productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Operate various types of machinery to cut, shape, and fabricate materials such as Aluminum and Steel.
• Perform daily Start-Up and Shut-Down procedures.
• Learn and operate fabrication equipment.
• Adhere to all established safety and PPE policies.
• Inspect assembled parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of production.
• Perform maintenance in conjunction with the established Maintenance Schedule.
• Follow proper decontamination protocol.
• Follow daily production schedule.
• Clean the fabrication machine or assigned area daily.
• Ensure finished goods are within established quality control protocol.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments.
• Report on any issues within the department, including Quality Control, maintenance, inventory, and safety.

Must Haves:

• Proficiency with basic hand tools.
• Understanding and adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• ABH Certification for forklift driving
• Attention to detail; Ensuring precision and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and strong communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining various types of machinery.
• Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively within a team.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in machine operation, fabrication, or related field.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Standing for your entire shift.
• Manual dexterity.
