Position: Production Worker 
Location: Brentwood New Hampshire 03833
Duration: 6-month Temp to hire
Pay: $24.31/hr on w2
Shift : A Shift- Sun, Mon, Tues, alt Wed 5:40am-6:00pm

 

 

The Winder Operator is a member of a crew that operates two production lines. You will work with your shift to safely produce high-quality products in a fast-paced, continuous operation environment. The expectation for a Winder Operator is to deliver quality packaging and products for customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Plant and Environmental Safety

Lives the company safety standards and meets all safety requirements. Safety is a condition of employment.

Takes personal ownership of working safely and holds other team members to the same high standards.

Notifies the supervisor immediately of any accident, near miss, or on-the-job injury, regardless of severity.

Participates in safety, quality, autonomous maintenance (AM), TPM, and housekeeping programs, including focused improvement events, safety committees, and training.

Performs job tasks to reduce environmental impact and follows environmental regulations and recycling procedures.

Complies with all plant rules and safety regulations.

Performs cleanup duties at workstations and equipment/machinery.

Communicates safety concerns and equipment problems or abnormalities to appropriate personnel.

Inspects vehicles and powered industrial vehicles (PIV) before and during use, ensuring equipment is clean and operational.

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

Participates in plant TPM initiatives and completes assigned TPM tasks (CILT standards, 5S).

Acts as an active member of an AM and/or pillar team.

Uses TPM methodology to develop a deeper understanding of equipment.

Identifies and participates in learning opportunities to develop expertise.

Uses focused improvement tools to support problem-solving efforts.

Works toward achieving zero injuries, zero defects, and zero losses.

Uses PM days effectively to bring equipment to optimal condition.

Maintains DMS and AM team activity boards.

Quality Control & Operations

Performs winder, EDL, and conveyor quality checks and documentation at specified intervals.

Maintains and adjusts control panels (speed, delays, timers) as needed.

Interfaces with plant employees to provide quality control information.

Monitors and reports unusual or suspect material issues outside specifications.

Communicates with coater-end and back-end operators regarding production and quality concerns.

Evaluates finished products for proper weight and thickness.

Job Duties

Understands basic product and manufacturing processes.

Operates winders and packaging machines on multiple production lines.

Operates banding equipment efficiently.

Prints and applies pallet labels accurately.

Loads and stacks reworked material safely.

Tracks, manages, and reports scrap and secondary materials accurately.

Maintains a clean and organized work area.

Monitors alarms and responds appropriately.

Assists with web break repairs.

Supports threading and product changeover procedures.

Contributes to the training and development of team members.

Follows all standard operating procedures and processes.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Computer and Software Competencies

Basic computer and data entry skills.

Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, pallet labeling systems, Ignition, and SAP ().

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED .

Manufacturing or process-related experience .

Essential Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Must be at least 18 years old.

Must remain drug-free.

Flexible to work overtime and 12-hour rotating shifts.

Able to work in an industrial manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE.

Exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, dust, ink, fumes, and dirt.

Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, climb stairs/ladders, and work at heights.

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.

Ability to distinguish colors and shading.

Willingness to become forklift certified if required.
