Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor Position Type: Full-Time Location: Vermont

Summary of Position Mission

Responsible for set up and operation of CNC mills and lathes.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts machines, including controls or control media, as required to ensure quality of work

• Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other manufacturing personnel for
assignments and to resolve quality issues

• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly

• Performs basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment

• Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances

of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements

• Actively participate and support the 5S process within the work area on a daily basis.

Other duties will be assigned as required.

Qualifications &Knowledge Required

• Minimum of two years’ experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and mill machines in a manufacturing
environment

• Intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments. Instruments should include, but not
limited to, calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators and scales

• Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on
various CNC machines

Working Conditions

Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment and throughout a heated manufacturing and
warehouse facility. Exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of light manufacturing, shipping and receiving, and normal office equipment
(computers, telephones, etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.
