Machine Operator in Freeport

Pay Rate: $21.50/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
Training: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM) for up to 1 month

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Machine Operator to support furnace operations in a high-quality manufacturing environment. This role involves operating and monitoring industrial equipment, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, load, and unload components into furnace systems
• Monitor machine and furnace performance during operation
• Make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Inspect products for quality standards and specifications
• Assist with troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes, safety, and productivity
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous machining or machine operation experience required
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Ability to monitor equipment and identify issues quickly
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Skills

• Experience in manufacturing or furnace/heat-based processes
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Interest in continuous improvement and process efficiency
