Machine Operator
Pay Rate: $18/hr.
Location: Conroe, TX 77303
Schedule: 12 hours shift (6AM to 6:30 PM and 6PM to 6:30AM), rotates between day shift & night shift every 30 days

Job Description:
This position will run manufacturing lines by monitoring, preparing, loading, and off-loading raw materials and/or finished goods from assigned area and assist in the operation of the equipment, changeovers, minor maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Daily Responsibilities – Some are for specific areas as assigned:

• Prepare raw materials which may include parent reels, poly, and/or boxes depending on area assigned which would be in the rewinder or packaging areas.
• Remove paper waste from parent reel cores after the Unwinding machine has consumed entire reel.
• Perform quality check on product and wrapping or packaging at various critical points in process.
• Assist in monitoring equipment, clear jams, perform machine resets, and troubleshoot assigned area of the line as
• needed.
• Must be able to competently complete required paperwork to include quality checks, measurements and
• observation of product during production.
• Must maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow the prescribed safety
• requirements and processes.
• Assist others with general maintenance duties as required.
• May assist in monitoring and performing rework of product in the packaging areas.
• Ability to move product on pallets or around facility as needed by use of pallet jack and/or forklift, if certified.
• Ability to learn, monitor and perform change overs based on order requisitions of product.
• Follow company policies and use safety equipment as required

Communications:

• Keeps records and reports and communicates as necessary.
• Informs and communicates equipment malfunctions or issues in process.
• Effectively communicates with other members of the production floor team and office personnel.

Customer Service/Quality:

• Maintaincompany's high standards by providing quality work and clean work areas.
• Performs frequent machine and product inspections at various critical points in the process.

Technical:

• Some technical ability to understand how machines operate and ability to understand safety devices and standards when around machines.
• Ability to know how to operator machines using pneumatics, hydraulics, compressed air, rollers, belts and conveyor systems.

Safety:

• Ability to follow company safety policies and use safety personal protection equipment as required.
• Attention to detail and safety as this position will be working around moving parts.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to learn simple to complex machine functions.
• Must be able to work 12-hour rotational shift (Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays).
• 3 years manufacturing experience required.
• Excellent communication and problem -solving skills.
• Forklift experience and or pallet jack experience a plus.
• Extremely high attention to detail.
• Must be able to complete duties with minimal supervision.

Licensing/Certification:

• Current forklift certification, optional
