Shift: 1st - 7 am - 3:30 (OT may be required)
Pay: $16 - $18/hr based on experience

Commercial machine operators in printing, folding, and inserting positions involve setting up, operating, and maintaining high-speed equipment to produce printed, folded, and mailed materials. Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Machine Set-Up & Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate folders, inserters, and printing presses according to work orders. This includes adjusting rollers, folders, and guides for different paper sizes and folds.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products (printed, folded, or inserted) for defects like wrinkles, misaligned folds, or incorrect inserts.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Material Handling: Load paper stock, ink, and materials into machines.
- Workflow Coordination: Work with bindery teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Safety Adherence: Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety protocols.
Specialized Roles
- Folder Operator: Focus on folding, slitting, and scoring printed sheets into signatures.
- Inserter Operator: Operates high-speed equipment to insert printed matter into envelopes or folders.
- Printing Operator: Handles offset, flexographic, or digital presses, including installing plates and mixing ink.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High School Diploma or work experience.
- Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, printing, or bindery environment .
- Technical Skills: Ability to read work orders.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Digital Literacy: Familiarity with computers for inputting production data.

- Operators are typically evaluated on their ability to meet production speeds, maintain high-quality standards, and minimize waste.
