We recently moved into a large shop in West Jordan, and we are growing quickly. We’re looking for a Lead Fabricator to take charge of shop production and mentor our team as we take on exciting commercial projects.

Position Overview

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will run advanced steel processing equipment including the Peddinghaus Avenger Plus, plasma table, and vertical band saw. This role is hands-on and critical to ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality in our fabrication process.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment including drill line, plasma table, and band saw.

• Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints for cutting accuracy.

• Ensure precise cutting, drilling, and processing of structural steel materials.

• Perform routine machine maintenance and monitor performance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime.

• Collaborate with shop leadership to meet production goals.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Assist with training new operators when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC and/or band saw machines.

• Experience with Peddinghaus Avenger Plus, plasma tables, or vertical band saws is a plus.

• Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in machine operation.

• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Compensation & Benefits

• $16.00 – $22.00/hour depending on experience.
