Little Enterprises is searching for an experienced CNC Machinist with knowledge of CNC Lathe/Vertical and Palletech systems to join the team at their main facility north of Boston in Ipswich, MA. This is a four-day full-time overnight position.
Picture yourself working in their clean, air conditioned, modern 52,000 square-foot production plant! You will be working on state-of-the-art equipment. You will be manufacturing a variety of precision components used in military combat equipment, medical equipment, and various aerospace industry applications. Job Summary:Any candidate interested in being a machine operator should be highly motivated and have an ability to multitask. A machine operator should be able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining quality, using standard procedures designed to maximize product. Our goal is providing our customers with the highest quality components. This job requires attention to detail.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to work in a team environmentMust be able to stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift 50 pounds independentlyMust be able to perform simple machine set-upsMust be able to read and understand most blue printsDemonstrate working knowledge and understanding of most QC requirements and proceduresMust be able to monitor scrap ratesMust be able to inspect parts in accordance with procedure policyBasic understanding of different cutting tools and their usageBasic knowledge of ISO conceptsUnderstand production requirements Basic understanding of Lean principals Must be available to work overtime if requiredRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:High school diploma or GED preferredOne year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience requiredExperience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel Ability to read blue prints a plus but we will train Basic math skills PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to stand, sit, bend and kneel without difficultyAbility to repeatedly lift/pull/push 50lbsExposure to loud noisesWorking in the presence of fork trucks and other manufacturing machinery
