Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDay shift schedule. 6:00am-3:30pm or 7:00am-4:30pm range with possibility of more overtime, including maybe working some on the weekends.
Job Duties:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on a weekly basis as indicated by operating manual.
  • Observe, test, and assess the operation of machines to detect the cause of malfunction.
  • Talk with operators and supervisors about machinery and maintenance problems.
  • Read and follow blueprints, sketches, diagrams, lubrication charts, operation manuals and
    engineering specifications.
  • Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
  • Repair, replace, adjust and align machinery and equipment parts, using tools such as
    screwdrivers, electrical test meters, wrenches and hoists.
  • Clean and lubricate machine parts.
  • Keep repair and maintenance logs.
  • Use catalogs to order replacement parts, or if not available, may sketch the needed part and have it fabricated by a machine shop.
  • Test machines to ensure repairs are made per specification.
  • Take apart and reassemble machinery parts as required.
  • Make sure all trash is disposed of properly, and that no hazardous waste is added to trash hopper. Help monitor for anything that is spilled outside, and notify Management immediately if a spill is observed.
  • Need to be licensed forklift driver to move trash, etc. in a safe manner.
  • Follow all company policies, department standard operating procedures, safety procedures, quality procedures, API and ISO procedures, and any other verbal or written instructions.
  • Work in a safe manner, without endangering yourself or other employees. Coach any employee using unsafe practices, and/or alert the area supervisor, safety committee member, or member of management. Use all appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) for job.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays, to support production requirements.
  • Provide training for new department members as required.

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Prefer High School or GED
  • Prefer some Tech School

Physical Requirements:Frequently handles and lifts material ranging from 5 to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Job Skills/Tools Required:

  • Understand Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Mechanical Drawings
  • Read and understand Technical Manuals
  • Usage of Hand & Power Tools
  • Operation of Hoist & Overhead Cranes
  • Forklift Operations
  • Computer Literate: Outlook, Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel.
