We are looking for a qualified and experienced Low Voltage Telecommunications Estimator to join our team at our Southern California HQ located in Anaheim, CA. Position Summary:

• Job Title: Low Voltage Telecommunications Estimator
• Location: Anaheim, CA
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years in low voltage telecommunications project estimation, RCDD certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform take-offs from plans and specifications for large distribution center, manufacturing facility, multi-family, and healthcare projects.
• Understand industry-standard construction means and methods.
• Read and comprehend contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, conduct site visits, and document existing conditions.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality work.
• Review supplier/subcontractor quotes for compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Evaluate design options and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Develop preliminary construction schedules.
• Familiarity with Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) construction methods.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and wiring methods, including CAT 6, CAT 6A, copper, fiber-optic, and coaxial cable installations.
• Knowledge of Security, Access control, CCTV, Public Safety DAS design and installations.
• Understanding of BiCSi and EIA/TIA design criteria and installation standards.
• Experience with various construction operations.
• Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and exceptional work ethic.

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of successful commercial construction estimating experience, with low voltage projects ranging from $50 thousand to $5 million.
• Ability to design and estimate IT projects of varying sizes.
• Leadership skills to direct and lead technical staff.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Visio, MS Project, and CAD.
• RCDD Certification preferred.
• Previous experience in information technology or related fields.
• Experience in access control and other systems is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform takeoffs.
