Protection Technologies LLC is seeking a self-motivated, reliable construction Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in installing and servicing security and low-voltage systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, and service CCTV, Access Control, Locks, Intercom, Fire, and other low-voltage security systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential risks, providing effective solutions.
- Install and configure hardware and related low-voltage components.
- Review work orders to confirm materials and scope prior to arrival on site.
- Document daily activities, including notes and photos, within company systems.
- Maintain organized inventory of service parts and keep company property clean.
- Complete work safely, on schedule, and with minimal disruption to the client.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant installation or service experience .
- Experience in construction security systems, low-voltage wiring, IT, carpentry, or related trades.
- Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints and perform basic measurements accurately.
- OSHA 30 and SST required within 90 days ( at hire).
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Team-oriented, reliable, organized, and dependable.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and climb ladders/work at heights.
- Ability to distinguish colors for wiring and terminations.
- Ability to travel to multiple job sites both local and regional in the East Coast
