Low Voltage Technician in Fort Worth

Universal Systems is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician with a strong background in security systems to join our growing team. This position involves installation, service, and troubleshooting of residential and commercial low voltage systems including alarm systems, surveillance, access control, A/V distribution, Automation systems, network systems and more.

We are looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and alongside a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot:
• • Burglar alarm systems (DSC, Honeywell/Ademco, Napco, etc.)
  • CCTV systems (IP cameras, NVRs)
  • Access control systems (keypads, card readers, gate operators)
• Run and terminate low voltage wiring (Cat5/6, coax, etc.)
• Program and configure control panels and devices
• Diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients
• Maintain accurate job documentation and reports

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in low voltage or security system installation
• Strong knowledge of alarm systems, CCTV, and access control
• Experience with DSC, Honeywell, Alarm.com ()
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

(Not Required)

• Experience with home automation (Crestron, Control4, etc.)
• Networking knowledge (IP addressing, routers, switches)
• Texas security license or ability to obtain one
