1099 Contractor / W2 Part-Time to start.

We are taking resumes for field installation and service techs for Baltimore/DC/NVA

Searching for reliable, self-starter individuals who can handle a variety of service calls, installs, rollouts, etc. on a 1099 basis.

There are also W2 positions available to work as a Field Technician cabling, troubleshooting, installing network and other types of hardware in commercial environments.

The position consists of traveling within and out of state

· Run & secure cabling (CAT5e/CAT6, HDMI, etc.)

· Terminate CAT5e/CAT6/CAT6A cabling with RJ45 & RJ 11 Connectors, Ethernet port biscuits.

· Mount TVs on walls and projectors on walls/ceilings.

· Assemble equipment following manufacturer-provided instructions (VoIP/SIP phone, Point-of-Sale Equipment, Networking Equipment)

· Respond to repair/support requests.

· Read blueprints to determine how to best install the components and wiring.

· Test all systems and troubleshoot fundamental connectivity issues.

· Update project documentation and take photos of work completed.

· Review and/or teach the client the product installed.

· Perform other duties as assigned.



Requirements:
Must have your own reliable transportation and valid driver's license

A+ certification is preferred, Network certification is preferred.
At least 2/3 years hands on experience installing and extending circuits
Structured Cabling background
BICSI Certification a plus

Fiber Certification / Experience is a plus

Desktop Support is a plus
Advanced understanding of TCP/IP networking, routers and switches
Advanced understanding of telephony, 66/110 block, smart-jacks, DSL, dry loops, connectivity troubleshooting

Required Tools:
Laptop w/ WiFi connectivity, console cable, Smartphone with Camera, 8' Ladder, Label Maker, Punch tool 66/110, Butt Set, Tone Generator / Wand, RJ11/RJ45 Termination Tool and Connectors, Cable tester, zip ties, cross-over cable, loop back plug, gopher pole / fish tape, and various related tools
