Low Voltage Superintendent
Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven Low Voltage Superintendent to oversee field operations for low-voltage projects. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of structured cabling, fiber optics, and data infrastructure projects across commercial and industrial job sites. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Project Management: Oversee all aspects of low-voltage projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and top-tier quality.
· Team Leadership: Supervise and lead technicians and installers on-site; provide training, mentoring, and day-to-day direction to ensure team success.
· Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of structured cabling systems, fiber optic installations, and data center infrastructure to all project tasks.
· Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure all work meets industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and project specifications.
· Compliance: Enforce safety regulations (OSHA, NEC, and company policies), ensuring full adherence on all job sites.
· Communication: Coordinate with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure all parties are aligned and project expectations are met.
· Problem-Solving: Quickly assess challenges and implement effective solutions to maintain project progress and integrity.
· Safety: Promote and maintain a safe work environment, conducting daily toolbox talks and safety checks.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including as-built drawings, daily logs, material usage, and field change orders.
Requirements:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in low-voltage or structured cabling systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.· In-depth understanding of TIA/EIA standards, BICSI guidelines, and fiber/copper certification processes.· Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.· Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.· Working knowledge of safety standards (OSHA 30 ).· Proficient with Microsoft Office, construction apps (Procore, PlanGrid), and cable testing equipment.· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites throughout Texas.
