Job Description

The Network Cabling/Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the coordination, implementation, and completion of Atlanta Airport and Atlanta area projects. Willingness to take ownership of projects and ensure on time completion. The Project Manager will oversee technicians, procure materials needed, conduct training, and quality control on site work. Interact with Customers, co-workers, and end users in a professional manner.

Skills and Abilities

• Current BICSI industry and technical knowledge in network cabling and electrical

• Knowledge in low voltage, DAS & electrical installs

• Ability to troubleshoot issues with network cabling

• Prior Project Manager experience

• Basic computer skills

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen for Atlanta Airport Badging

• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

· Acts as single point of responsibility and accountability for their projects.

· Coordinate with Sales and Engineering team for initial project turnover including review of all project documents, drawings, scope of work, and construction schedule.

· Create and manage project timelines and schedules for each project to ensure completion within budget and to customer satisfaction.

· Facilitate internal kick-off meeting with Project Foreman and Lead Technicians

· Create material purchase orders and monitor equipment shipments.

· Monitor and update daily task list to keep customer and management updated on project progress.

· Facilitate Sub-Contract labor when applicable

· Regularly inspect quality of work performed by Internal Technicians and subcontractors

· Ensure all systems are installed per original design and operate as intended.

· Coordinate the development and delivery of documentation including submittals equipment manuals, training materials, and as-built drawings, programming files, test results, and close-out documentation

· Coordinate and/or provide training to client

· Must be dependable and punctual

Qualifications

· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in a commercial construction setting

· Ability to supervise multiple teams of Technicians and Sub-contractors when required

· Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple projects in the same time frame

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to read architectural prints, low voltage wiring diagrams, project schedules and other technical construction documents

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Outlook)

· Understanding of project financials including revenue, budget, profit margins

· Working knowledge of CAD software (Autocad, Bluebeam, Stardraw, Visio) to create as builts

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· BICSI certification strongly

· Industry certifications (Panduit, Belden, Commscope, Corning.) strongly

· Must have the ability to pass a background check

· Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
