SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly energetic, results-oriented, passionate, and hands-on Project Manager to join our client’s growing team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
The Project Manager (PM) will be a lead member of the operations team and will drive the delivery of various network infrastructure and cabling projects within a designated site. This position requires development, management, customer engagement, operational expertise, and overall leadership skills.
Key responsibilities include establishing the program schedule and ensuring targets are met for schedule, cost, functionality, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
This role will also involve consulting with clients, delivering presentations, resolving project issues, recommending new services or enhancements, estimating, proposal writing, managing project costs, directing labor requirements, and assisting purchasing with bill of materials.
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of a project from start to finish. Primary duties include planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting activities related to project construction. The PM will also participate in and, at times, lead the conceptual development phase, overseeing organization, estimating, scheduling, and implementation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for effective project management and delivery.

Collaborate with the extended site team to develop program schedules, establish milestones, and ensure alignment with customer goals while meeting financial and schedule targets.

Identify and acquire all necessary resources, revising plans as needed to meet changing requirements.

Evaluate materials and products during the pre-construction phase for constructability and feasibility.

Oversee and occasionally prepare cost estimates at multiple stages.

Initiate and coordinate design efforts and value engineering processes.

Schedule projects logically to meet deadlines and determine labor needs.

Facilitate travel for technicians assigned to the project site.
-
Coordinate with superintendents and monitor compliance with codes and regulations.

Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to staff, workers, and clients.

Prepare contracts, negotiate changes, and manage agreements with designers, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Obtain necessary permits and licenses.

Direct and supervise both office and on-site team members.

Determine appropriate construction methods and solicit, negotiate, select, and oversee material suppliers and subcontractors.

Requisition supplies and materials, prepare and submit budgets, and track costs and progress.

Develop and implement quality control programs.

Address delays, weather-related disruptions, or emergencies.

Work with stakeholders to resolve complaints, work procedures, and construction issues.

Manage cost/budget and contract changes.

Develop and maintain the project schedule and financial plan.

Complete all required project documentation and reporting.

Train and develop the project team.

Prepare timely client billing and ensure accurate job cost postings.

Oversee safety, quality assurance, and material logistics programs.

Recruit, hire, train, supervise, promote, or discipline project-related staff as needed.

Coordinate effectively with internal and external design, construction, network, and facility teams.

Proactively communicate program status and risks to all stakeholders and take corrective actions when necessary.

Serve as the main liaison to the client, maintaining high satisfaction levels and fostering collaboration.

Maintain regular presence on-site for active project management.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, electrical engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.

10+ years of direct work experience in construction management, data centers, or structured cabling environments.

Proven track record of delivering mission-critical programs on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.

Must meet Motor Vehicle Record requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Experience in contract negotiation and administration.
-
Strong leadership skills, including team building, coaching, and mentoring.

Excellent organizational, time management, and coordination skills.

Client engagement experience in similar programs.

Understanding of program management fundamentals such as earned value management, SPI, CPI, and other project metrics.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification .
-
BICSI RCDD or similar telecommunications certifications .
