Position Type: 1099 Contractor

Rate: $400/day + $50/day per diem + $500 Pre-Pro

Total Pay Estimate: $17,000

 

 

We’re looking for a Technical Install Lead to join our crew for a haunted attraction tour installing The Conjuring: Beyond Fear across three Six Flags parks.

You’ll oversee and execute the install of low voltage systems including show control wiring, networking, cable, 12v trigger lines, and rack installations.

 

Scope Includes:

• Oversee/ and install camera systems, wire, networking, and rack build

• Coordinating with scenic and production departments

• Running and terminating CAT5/6 cable

• Performing system checks and troubleshooting

• Maintaining clean, labeled cable management

• Reading and interpreting Vectorworks plots

• Reporting daily progress to the Technical Director

 

Note: No lighting/audio programming, post-install support, or operation duties required. This is an install-only role.

 

 

Locations & Dates:

 

Cedar Point (OH)

– July 13: Travel

– July 14–25: Load-in (12 paid days)

– July 26: Travel

 

Carowinds (NC)

– August 10: Travel

– August 11–22: Load-in (12 paid days)

– August 23: Travel

 

Kings Island (OH)

– September 3: Travel

– September 4–15: Load-in (12 paid days)

– September 16: Travel

 

 

Pay Breakdown:

• $400/day x 36 workdays = $14,400

• $50/day per diem x 42 days = $2,100

• Pre-production planning: $500 flat

• Total Compensation Estimate: $17,000

 

 

Requirements:

• Experience with network terminations, rack building, and low-voltage wiring

• Ability to read technical documentation and sound/AV plots

• Comfortable with fast-paced install timelines and fieldwork

• Strong communicator and team collaborator

• Must be willing and able to travel
