Job DescriptionPlay a vital role in the maintenance and advancement of critical infrastructure as a Low Voltage Electrician. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various low voltage systems across government buildings and facilities. This position demands a strong understanding of industry codes and standards to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance across all assigned systems.
Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and system schematics
  • Pull, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling using appropriate tools
  • Perform system diagnostics and repairs to resolve faults and minimize downtime
  • Complete routine preventive maintenance to prolong system performance
  • Coordinate work efforts with other trade professionals and departments
  • Document installations and repairs, including test results, inventory, and as-built schematics
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, local building codes, and site-specific safety regulations

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in low voltage systems installation and service
  • Valid Georgia Low Voltage Contractor License (or equivalent, as required)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
  • Proficiency in reading and applying NEC (NFPA 70) and local codes
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, in confined spaces, or at heights
