Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Summary

Responsible for supporting the daily operations of the shop and warehouse by coordinating material flow, managing deliveries, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Ensures materials are received, processed, and delivered efficiently while supporting production scheduling and communication between departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming hardware, metal, and materials for accuracy and quality.
  • Process shipments in the ERP system, maintain up-to-date inventory records, and stage materials for production or delivery.
  • Coordinate and schedule deliveries; prepare required shipping and delivery documentation.
  • Communicate with Project Managers, Sales, and Operations regarding delivery timelines, material needs, and project requirements.
  • Plan and assign daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and prevent unnecessary trips.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and accurate labeling of stored materials.
  • Assist with local deliveries as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Support scheduling and coordination of shop staff, including welders, grinders, and locksmiths.
  • Track supplier ship dates and provide timely updates on delays or changes to project teams.
  • Assist the Shop Manager with ordering parts, materials, and consumable supplies.
  • Monitor and update system data, including work orders, labor hours, and material locations.
  • Maintain compliance with company safety policies and jobsite requirements (PPE, badging, delivery access, etc.).
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall shop and warehouse operations.

Work Relationships and Scope

Reports to the Operations Manager. Works closely with the Shipping and Receiving staff, Drivers, and office personnel including Project Managers and Sales. Regularly communicates with internal teams, suppliers, and jobsite personnel to ensure smooth material handling and project execution.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; logistics or warehouse experience .
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing demands.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Basic understanding of shipping documentation and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and proper material handling.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to assist with deliveries as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Hourly: $23.00 - $25.00 DOE

Hours: M-Th 7am-5pm Friday 7am-11am

Employment for this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening. This role is classified as safety-sensitive, and as such, is subject to a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy.
