Logistics Operations Coordinator in Saint Albans

Job DescriptionWe are recruiting for a Logistics Operations Coordinator to join an established and forward-thinking logistics company in St Albans. This role would suit an individual who is passionate, ambitious and wishes to develop a career in international logistics, while working for a financially strong and stable company. What’s in it for you? * Up to £40k depending on experience. * Monday to Friday 0800-17.30 (1 Saturday morning every 4 weeks 08.30 – 11.00), office based – no hybrid working. * 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays * Varied and busy role within a vibrant and diverse office * Free parking Key Responsibilities: * Organising the movement of freight across Europe and the UK * Communicating accurately in written and verbal form complex instructions to both Customers and Suppliers * Negotiating with both Customers and Suppliers to achieve most cost-effective solution. * Providing the highest standards of Customer Service * Processing Customer orders with an emphasis on attention to detail * Compiling customs documentation to facilitate shipment of freight in to and from Europe * Building very strong relationships with clients, principally through verbal engagement What the employer is looking for: * Ideally experience of logistics and supply chain management, either from working with a manufacturer, transport company or freight forwarder * Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) * A professional, positive and helpful attitude * Commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate directly with clients and suppliers and identify and exploit opportunities to increase both turnover and more importantly profit * Presentable, energetic and enthusiastic * Strong organisational skills with an excellent memory Red Door Recruitment is committed to encouraging equality, , and among our workforce, and eliminating unlawful discrimination.
