Company Overview

Founded in 2012, Paisan Logistics is a crude oil hauling transportation company operating under an owner-operator model. We pride ourselves on operational excellence, safety, and reliability for our customers, drivers, and the communities where we operate. We are seeking a Night Dispatcher to serve as the primary overnight operations and escalation lead.

This is a working overnight operations role, not a monitoring-only or on-call position.

Schedule

Wednesday: 6pm - 6am (12 hours)

Thursday: 6pm - 6am (12 hours)

Friday: 6pm - 6am (12 hours)

Every other Saturday: 6pm - 6am (12 hours)

Primary Responsibilities – Night Operations

• Execute real-time dispatch operations during overnight hours.
• Monitor active loads, driver status, site conditions, and operational changes.
• Respond immediately to driver issues, delays, call-offs, truck downs, or site problems.
• Maintain continuous situational awareness of the board and available driver capacity.
• Ensure no unresolved operational issues carry over to the day shift.

Escalation & Incident Response

• Own escalation of operational issues, delays, missed loads, truck issues, and safety concerns per company protocol.
• Communicate promptly with Dispatch Management, Operations, Maintenance, and Safety when escalation is required.
• Take initial incident reports and ensure accurate documentation and clear handoff to day teams.
• Maintain detailed shift notes to support continuity and accountability across shifts.

Hours of Service (HOS) & ELD Support

• Monitor driver Hours of Service in real time.
• Proactively identify and address potential HOS violations before they occur.
• Investigate HOS infractions, violations, or ELD malfunctions.
• Assist drivers with ELD, tablet, or printer troubleshooting.
• Escalate unresolved HOS issues to Operations or Safety per protocol.

Safety & Compliance Support

• Identify, document, and report safety alerts, incidents, and non-conformances.
• Serve as the overnight point of contact for safety-related events.
• Collect accurate information to support follow-up, investigation, and corrective action by Safety and Operations teams.

Administrative & Support Tasks

• Maintain accurate dispatch records and overnight logs.
• Complete administrative or support tasks during low-activity periods as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Working knowledge of FMCSA Hours of Service regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree but not required.
• One year of dispatch, logistics, DOT compliance, or 24/7 operations experience .
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an overnight environment.
• Ability to make timely decisions and escalate issues without hesitation.
• Integrity, accountability, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Must be able to pass a background screening.
