KP Aviation, an international supplier and procurer of aftermarket aviation components and assets, is searching for the next key member of our team! The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating customer shipment collections and supporting shipment execution activities for both domestic and international orders. This role serves as the central point of contact for shipment-related coordination between customers, Operations, external storage locations, freight providers, and internal departments to ensure efficient and accurate movement of material.

This position supports shipment readiness by managing collection coordination, shipment documentation support, customs-related shipment information, and communication related to customer-arranged transportation. The role is heavily focused on operational execution, logistics coordination, and shipment support activities across both KP Aviation facilities and third-party inventory locations.

 

Your role will take you to new heights, as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:

  • Coordinate customer-arranged collections for domestic and international shipments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shipment-related customer communication, including collection scheduling and shipment readiness updates.
  • Coordinate shipment execution activities between customers, Operations, Shipping, freight forwarders, and external inventory/storage locations (e.g., eCube).
  • Support completion and coordination of shipping documentation, including:

o    Shipper’s Letters of Instruction (SLIs)

o    Commercial invoice support

o    Customs-related shipment information

o    Export shipment requirements

  • Provide and/or coordinate shipment data including:

o    Weights and dimensions

o    Packaging details

o    Shipment readiness information

o    Shipping account details

  • Coordinate and support customs- and tariff-related shipment information requests, including HTS/Schedule B validation with appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain active follow-up and communication on open customer collections to ensure timely pickup and shipment execution.
  • Coordinate shipment support for material stored at external inventory locations and third-party facilities.
  • Work closely with Operations and Shipping teams to ensure shipment documentation and collection ·         Escalate shipment delays, collection issues, or documentation gaps as necessary to minimize impact to customer delivery timelines.
  • Monitor open collection requests and maintain reporting visibility related to collection aging and shipment coordination activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to shipment coordination, customer collections, and logistics workflows.
  • Assist in coordinating international shipment documentation requirements, including country-specific customs or VAT-related shipment information where applicable.
  • Performs any other requests or duties as assigned by management

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Knowledge of shipping and logistics coordination processes
  • Knowledge of customer service best practices and ability to train and coach subordinates
  • Knowledge of and ability to coach employees regarding company processes and procedures related to repairs
  • Strong computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Skills in effective communication
  • Skill in verbal and written communication, especially English
  • Skill in problem solving and decision making/analysis
  • Ability to review orders and documents for accuracy, organize related material, and track order status, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with partners, team members, management, and others
  • Ability to be polite, considerate, and an effective communicator in stressful situations
  • Ability to continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures
  • Ability to set goals and determine intermediary steps to achieve results and determined objectives
