Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of freight between facilities, ports, rail yards, warehouses, and customer locations. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely deliveries, compliance with regulations, and high customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate with internal teams to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels across drayage, rail, and OTR operations
· Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions across logistics functions
· Coordinate and schedule shipments, including pickups and deliveries
· Dispatch drivers and manage daily load assignments to ensure on-time performance
· Track and monitor shipments using TMS and port/rail systems (e.g., EDI, terminal portals)
· Communicate with drivers, steamship lines, terminal operators, and customers to provide real-time updates
· Manage appointment scheduling at terminals and warehouses
· Troubleshoot delays, including port congestion, equipment shortages, or traffic issues
· Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and delivery statuses
· Assist with invoicing, rate confirmation, and cost controls
· Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, turn times, and driver utilization
· Provide cross-functional support during peak volumes, capacity shortages, or service disruptions across drayage, rail, and OTR divisions

Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field
· 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or drayage operations
