United WestLabs, Inc. (“UWL”) is a health care service company that implements and manages turn-key hospital-based, laboratory outreach programs. The company has developed and refined a proprietary business model, handling all the pre-analytical and post-analytical service functions relating to the implementation and operation of outreach laboratory programs.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to oversee our outreach laboratory services supply chain operations. This role is critical in ensuring that laboratory samples are delivered to testing locations, safely and on time while also ensuring inventory is maintained and distributed to ensure on-going operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to support customer needs and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain courier routing, communications and changes to ensure all KPIs are met
  • Maintain company vehicles including preventive and non-preventative maintenance, registrations and required documentation
  • Manage the end-to-end supply chain process including procurement, transportation, inventory, and distribution.
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.
  • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce excess inventory and waste.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and regulations regarding PHI, health care, laboratory, logistics and supply chain activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the logistics and supply chain team to meet customer requirements and KPIs.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.
  • Utilize supply chain software and systems to manage and optimize operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP, PMP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, systems, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Skills (Optional):

  • Experience with health care or laboratory logistics
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities.
