JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary

10:00-18:30 Monday to Friday (8 Hours/5 Days)

Roles & Responsibilities
Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
Ensure equipment is properly functioning.
Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department.
Minimum Qualifications
Required a minimum of 2 year of Experience.
Required call hours also.
QUALIFICATIONS
BLS and ACLS
Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of current Nuclear Med Tech experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited Nuclear Medical Tech program
Active unencumbered Nuclear Medical Tech Maryland state license
One year of Cerner experience
Requirements
