Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) to join our team. The LCDC will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to adolescents struggling with addiction and substance use disorders. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, effective case management, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent diagnostic evaluation skills and be adept at developing personalized treatment plans.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine the level of care needed.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and coding for treatment documentation.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
- Provide case management services, ensuring continuity of care throughout the recovery process.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to support clients in their recovery journey.
- Collect and analyze data related to patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients on addiction medicine principles and coping strategies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and support.
Experience
- A valid LCDC license is required.
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Previous experience in addiction medicine or a related field is .
- Strong background in patient assessment, case management, and data collection is essential.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and therapeutic interventions is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective patient interactions.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- May require evening and weekend availability based on clients needs.
- Work is primarily in a foster care/group home setting.
- Requires ability to handle acaseload of multiple clients.
