About Us
At our core, we are not just architects and designers, we are storytellers of space. As a boutique collective, we pride ourselves on crafting environments that balance beauty, function, and a deep sense of purpose. Every project we take on is personal; every detail is intentional. We are small by design, which means your voice will carry weight, your ideas will matter, and your hands will help shape projects from the ground up. If you’re looking to escape the anonymity of a large firm and instead join a close-knit team where craftsmanship, collaboration, and creativity are valued above all, we’d love to hear from you. Come join BODesign!
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage residential, light commercial, and small multi-unit community projects from concept through completion.
- Collaborate directly with clients, consultants, and team members to ensure project goals are met.
- Prepare, review, and oversee design documents, construction drawings, and specifications for assigned project types.
- Take a hands-on role in drafting, modeling, and detailing, especially in early project phases if needed.
- Oversee permitting and coordinate with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with building codes and zoning regulations relevant to residential and small-scale community developments.
- Provide construction administration services, including site visits, RFI responses, and field adjustments.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and mentoring junior staff/drafters as the team grows.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables with attention to detail and efficiency.
- Contribute to the collaborative culture of the firm, where flexibility and a team-first mindset are essential.
Qualifications
- Professional architectural license (U.S. state licensure required).
- 7+ years of experience in architectural practice, with emphasis on residential, light commercial, and multi-unit community projects.
