Job Description:

The Earth and Environmental Sciences Department seeks a full-time Lecturer who will teach across the spectrum of the two majors, Geology and Environmental Science, including the courses Introduction to Geology, Hydrogeology, and GIS, and possibly other courses depending on qualifications. The position includes the opportunity for active participation in the Department's Senior research program.

The Department consists of four full-time instructors and one-two adjunct instructors, has ~45 majors, and houses a wide array of field and laboratory equipment, especially those items used in water, soil, sediment, and rock studies.

Requirements:

A PhD in earth sciences or a related field (ABD will be considered), and a strong commitment to the education of undergraduates (prior teaching experience at the college level ).
