As part of our partnership with BSU, we offer a wide range of modern courses across business, construction, computing, project management, psychology and counselling. BSU students graduate as engaged global who are ready for the world of work. 96.1% of graduates find themselves in work or further study within six months.\n\nThe role: We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BSc (Hons) Construction Management programme.  Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and at weekends.\n\nPlease note this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n\nWhat you'll be doing: As a Lecturer in Construction Management at Global Banking School, you will deliver modules related to the principles and practices of construction management, including the legal, environmental and technological context of today’s construction industry.

You will develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students and keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices. \n\nResponsibilities include: \n\nAll aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met\n\nDeveloping, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate\n\nUsing a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials\n\nActively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties\n\nUnderstanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices \n\nWorking towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and student progression\n\nAbout you: \n\nYou will hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)\n\nYou will have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area\n\nYou will be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter\n\nYou will have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback\n\nYou will have experience of accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records\n\nYou will be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines\n\nYou will have excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills\n\nYou will be able to work with diverse groups of people\n\nDesirable:\n\nYou will hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)\n\nYou will have experience of design / development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent\n\nWhat we offer: \n\n25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holiday\n\n1-day extra leave per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 days\n\nWorkplace pension scheme\n\nTuition reimbursement for career development courses\n\nFlexible Benefits: Cycle to Work, Workplace Nursery, Tech scheme and much more\n\nPerks@Work discounts platform, wellbeing centre and much more\n\nReward and recognition programme\n\n£500 award employee referral scheme\n\nDiscretionary annual performance bonus\n\n“GBS has greatly supported my professional development by offering me a chance to teach diverse, non-traditional students and by sponsoring my FHEA application, which has been invaluable in consolidating my teaching practices.” \n\n— John Traichaisit, Consultant Lecturer\n\nGBS is committed to equality, and and providing a workplace free from discrimination or harassment.
